Debuff Limit Gone

And has been since the xpac was released. Basically confirms what several of us have been saying all along. So, if anyone tries to claim "omg my debuffs are getting knocked off" you can throw this at them. ;)

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=13130050430&sid=1

We changed how the game handles debuffs (ie negative state effects on targets) on creatures with Wrath of the Lich King. The old hard cap of 40 debuffs on a target no longer effectively exists. You can now apply way more debuffs to a target without them dropping off before their duration expires. The default WoW UI will not normally display all these debuffs, but they really are still there!

It's very very good to know that for sure :)

I agree with Big.

We will only have 2 warlocks in the guild, but it is nice to know the debuff limit is "significantly higher"

Yay! I read this during our first Obsidian Sanctum run last night and derailed the raid for a few minutes... I was bad, I know. But it's just good to know it's one less thing to worry about.

Hello,

I just wanted to :
- first congratulate you for the birth
- second, thank you for all the good info and research you did for us affliction warlocks. It has helped me prove to my guildmates that, yes, affliction is a good (the best ?) raiding spec for warlocks

Gratz on the baby!!!

Did you get any achievement points for that?

Seriously though, thanks for all your hard work and research. And double that for your willingness to share so we all can improve.

Have you guys ever thought about creating a video series (youtube?) where you show, fights/PVP/PvE end game tactics specifically designed for locks?

what do u thing about this build guys ?

cant try this 1 due to irl things atm

that build isn't a "top dps spec", so i guess it's not one i'd recommend.

With this limit gone, does this make multiple affliction Warlocks with 2 points in soul siphon viable? That could be 60% damage increase on soul siphon, and with it's high coefficient and other damage increases coming from the deep affliction build, that seems to be a huge damage increase once the target drops below 25%. By the way, with this build I currently have:

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?tal=235002103102351005151033135100000000000000000000000000005023005000000000000000000

Where would you recommend taking a point to put into the second soul siphon? I've seen you forgo dark pact, but I seem to find myself using that quite often. Any thoughts?

Lifetap should be returning more mana than dark pact, so you should not be using dark pact.
