Felguard *is* fantastic for group leveling.
I'm leveling from 70 to 80 with a Hunter (complete with KJ bow) from my guild as felguard (though I'm felguard/destro, not SL/FG), and it's working out fantastically for me.
So hate away, Fallenman! Jhuughun and I are having a ball.

The spec is definitely great for grouping with someone.
I'm not sure about anyone else....I mean, while I'll happily concede that the affliction style mass dot pull is better for general kill questing and levelling....how do you guys fare when a hordie jumps you while you've pulled 5-6 mobs?
That's my main reason for staying a full metamorphosis spec while levelling as I've found that having that all purpose "oh shit" button has saved my ass more times than I can count.
I've only had to deal with a very small amount of PVP while leveling. The horde have been generous leaving me alone for the most part, and even helping me once in a while. Refreshing on a server where alliance are outnumbered 4 to 1.
But, in times where I've had to PVP, the haunt/SL spec has done extremely well. The thing to remember is, generally if I have 4-5 mobs on me, I'm not actually losing any life.
Most mobs can't overcome the healing from SL and fel armor. Add haunt and DL, and there's no stopping me.
So, it's been a non-issue in most cases when someone jumps me with a bunch of mobs on me.
Hehe maybe it's just the lack of practice then. What I've tended to find is that even when my life isn't going down in any major way with a couple mobs on me, it's the spell interruption during critical casts that do me in. THough to be fair to the deep aff spec, I've always been more reliant on bursting people down when they jump me than outlasting them and I've found the demon form to be perfect for that.
Of course, this may also be just a justification so as not to have to give up on my beloved Jhuutom, who's saved my ass more times than I can count XD.
